ASTM A307 Hex Bolts

ASTM A307 grade is used for Hex Bolt, stud bolts, Threaded Rods or any other bolt having a minimum tensile strength of 60 ksi.

An ASTM A307 Hex bolt is a low-tensile carbon steel Bolt, typically used for general-purpose, low-pressure applications in structures like bridges, docks, and buildings. ASTM A307 Comes in Grade A and Grade B denoting different strengths and configurations for specific uses.
Grade A: ASTM A307 Grade A Bolts are used in general applications with moderate tensile strength.
Grade B: ASTM A307 grade B bolts is a carbon steel bolts having higher-strength, commonly used for Flanged Joints in piping system & other heavy-duty applications.

Applications:
ASTM A307 bolts can be used for many different applications that include fastening wood, steel, and other construction materials for projects such as docks.
Infrastructure: Securing components in bridges, docks, highway structures, and utility poles.
Construction: Fastening materials in building projects and general construction.
Industrial: Used in equipment fabrication, machinery maintenance, and various industrial assembly lines.

ASTM A307

The Astm A307 Grade A Bolts is headed bolt, threaded rod and bent bolt type for general purpose applications. The grade B is heavy hex bolts and studs for flanged joints. The astm a307 hex bolt can be used with tools and applied high torque force to tighten it in place. The type C bolts are non-headed anchor bolts. These can be bent or straight and are intended for structural usages. The A307 Anchor Bolt is painted green for identification. This part will project out from the concrete structure. Depending on the customer requirements, some of the anchor bolts are marked permanently. The A307 Thru Bolt and others in the grade A come with 60ksi minimum tensile strength while grade B can range from 60 to 100ksi and grade C from 58 to 80ksi minimum tensile strength values. The astm a307 stud bolt is used with applications where the stud is needed. The material has carbon, manganese, phosphorus and sulfur in the composition.

A307 Bolt Grade

AHeaded bolts, threaded rods and bent bolts intended for general applications.
BHeavy hex bolts and studs intended for flanged joints in piping systems with cast iron flanges.
CNonheaded anchor bolts, either bent or straight, intended for structural anchorage purposes. The end of a grade C anchor bolt intended to project from the concrete will be painted green for identification purposes. Permanent marking is a supplemental requirement. *As of August 2007, grade C has been replaced by specification F1554 grade 36.
